More than one shop
For the owner.
When you need this
You open a second shop or branch, and want its sales, stock and money kept apart from the first. In SalesDue each shop is a business of its own, under the same account. Your staff switch between the shops they work in.
If you have one shop, skip this page.
Steps
Add a shop
- In the menu, open Settings, then Businesses. The page lists your shops, with their Status.
- Press Create Business.
- Type the shop's name in Business Name. It's the only box you must fill in.
- Fill in what you have: Email, Phone, Registration No., Banking Details and Address.
- Under Business Type, pick the one closest to your shop.
- Press Save Changes.
The app opens the new shop's Dashboard: you are now working in the new shop. Check its details and logo, as in Your business details.
Switch shop
- At the top of the screen, press the shop's name.
- Pick the other shop from the list.
The screen reloads for that shop. Everything you see and record from now on – sales, payments, stock – is that shop's, until you switch again.
Sell a product in more than one shop
When you add a product, its Locations card lists each of your shops. Turn Available on for every shop that sells it, and set that shop's Price if it differs. See Add your products and prices.
What you should see
- The new shop in Settings › Businesses, with Status Active.
- The new shop in the list at the top of the screen, and on the Select a business to continue... screen when you sign in.
If something goes wrong
- Save Changes can't be pressed: Business Name is empty. Type the shop's name.
- "Please enter a valid phone number": the phone number is too short. Correct it, or leave Phone empty.
- No Create Business button, or no Businesses on Settings: your role can't add shops. Ask the owner.
- A staff member can't see the new shop: they haven't been added to it. Switch to the new shop and add them there (see Staff and roles).
- "This product isn't available at …" on a product: it belongs to another shop and hasn't been made available here. Open it at the shop that owns it, and turn Available on for this shop.
